Buena Vista PTA provides support, both volunteer and financial, for various programs to enrich our curriculum throughout the school year. We strive to promote an environment that encourages all students to learn at the highest possible levels, as well as meet the needs of students from all socio-economic levels.

Brainbuilders and Early Risers
Brainbuilders is a volunteer based in-school tutoring program. Students are referred by classroom teachers based on academic need. They are placed with a volunteer tutor who comes on a scheduled time throughout the year to provide that student with one-on-one teacher directed assistance.  If you have questions or would like to be a part of the Brainbuilders program, please contact Alison Taylor- alisongtaylor13@yahoo.com

Early Risers meets the needs of our students who need assistance in closing the gap in testing scores. These students arrive early several times a week for computer based instruction, practice, and assistance in our computer lab from parent volunteers.  If you have questions, or would like help with the Early Risers program, please contact Andy Casto-Waters- acasto.waters@gmail.com
