FRIENDS OF Buena Vista

When you give to Friends of Buena Vista, 100% of the money stays at Buena Vista and is spent on your child in the current school year.  Any dollar amount is appreciated and welcomed. Individuals, families, or businesses with a cumulative donation of $100.00 or more will be recognized in a weekly Newsflash and will receive a “Friends of BVES” car sticker.  Your donation to Friends of Buena Vista is 100% tax deductible. Click HERE for more information. BOBCAT FUN RUN

Our Fun Run hosted by Boosterthon this year wraps Fitness, Leadership, and Character together in an unforgettable experience for students. Students earn pledges, which can be a set amount or a dollar amount per lap they complete.  They learn that fitness is fun!  The Fun Run is school-led, kicks off in early Fall, and 100% of profits go back to the school. BOBCAT BASH CARNIVAL

The Bobcat Bash is Buena Vista's annual carnival and a great example of how Buena Vista is Someplace Special. We hope you join in on this beloved FUNdraising event on April 12. CLICK HERE to learn all about the Bash!

HOLIDAY SHOP

Penguin Patch Holiday Shop is coming to our school! Your child will be able to participate in an educational, fun, and exciting experience.

Parent volunteers will assist children while shopping to allow them to purchase surprise gifts for loved ones. We offer over 100 different gifts that can be purchased for as little as $.25 and up to $12.00 each. The gift items offered are Kid Tested Mom Approved. The Holiday Shop is a fun, unique way to empower your children with generosity!

Please ensure that the Gift List Budget Envelope that came home in your child's Tuesday folder is completed and returned with cash or check to school on the date that your child's class is scheduled to shop. Please don't let your child miss this opportunity to grow and experience the spirit of giving!

bobcat BoulderS

We have two Bobcat Boulders on school property that you can paint to recognize a birthday or other special event for your student.  You can rent one of the Bobcat Boulders for $10 per day and use your own paint and artistic flair to share your message.  The Car Line Boulder sits in front of the school at the entrance to the parking lot and is for our car riders. The Back Path Boulder sits at the entrance to the back path in the rear of the school and is for our walkers. Please refer to the IMPORTANT LINKS section on our homepage for the reservation links.

Please do NOT reserve the rock to recognize teachers. In order to free up space for student recognition, all teacher birthdays will be placed on the electronic sign out front.  

Pro tip: latex, acrylic, or spray paint all work well on the boulders. Have old latex paint sitting around your garage? Grab a roller and use it for a quick base coat. Or grab an affordable sample at Ace Hardware or Sherwin Williams. No refunds are available due to weather or a change in Attendance Plan. You get your day rain or shine, school in session or virtual! Some families have set up a tailgate tent to provide shelter while they get the job done. Happy painting!
